Simple thread, post your fines/ charges and costs for mods / trackdays / speed cameras / having fuN with your beauty....

I'll start
  • 2 weeks after owning the car, new tyre due to screw digging itself in. £120
  • A new windscreen thanks to a large stone chip dead centre of the drivers view. £150
  • Bus lane violation (followed through 4 other cars due to a crash). £40

In modifications and time spent so far.:) No others issues except a front bumper lower molding that dealer had to replace. They pulled it onto the flatbed with chains for delivery to the dealer, DUH!

Always use the towing hook and or straps when pulling it on ta flatbed, Knucklehead!:p

This will sound like an old Mastercard TV ad, but....
  • Black badges - $70
  • Boot liner and dash mat - $220
  • Fire extinguisher and bracket for track days - $100
  • Window tinting - $350
  • Windscreen repair after stone strike - $134
  • Personalised rego plate - $200
  • A shed full of cleaning and detailing products - $500 (and counting )
  • The look on the GTI owner's face when I screamed past and blew him into the weeds with a bark from the exhaust - priceless!

Is there any link for the red stripes/lines that are placed on the door panels (horizontally in between the soft plastics)?

I just started to think about the $$$ put into this vehicle over the last 8 months.... It made me a little sad... THEN I remembered I get to drive home from work sooN so I'm happy

Resonator Delete ~$125
N stickers for sideskirts ~$20
Tunebox ~$550 landed
Dyno Day (few power runs) ~$220
BOV ~$300

IFX Intake ~$600

Plenty more in servicing & cleaning etc but that covers all the "big ticket" purchases

Tyres are coming up and I am leaning towards Potenza RE003 OR Michellins PS4

Btw. Would be interessting to see @TarmoT here haha :D

I can do it but if my wife will find out that topic somehow..... I will be a free man again ;)
Ok, I stopped counting my costs about 2-months ago and for that moment I already managed to spend more than 50% of the purchase price of the car (I didn´t buy it as a used car).
I am not counting fuel, insurance, maintenance, track-day costs there at all.
I just looked inside of my note-book and about season 2019 only I can see 38 rows with costs there.
