Starting problem - engine not cranking

Went to start my car this morning and the engine would not crank - completely dead.

Local road service came out (RACQ). Guy said the battery was at full charge and after examining some fuses said he could not determine what was wrong. Tried spare key also in case my main key was faulty.

Car is due to go to dealer tomorrow anyway for a replacement multi function camera - the one that sits behind the internal rear view mirror. Finally arrived from Korea after a two month wait.

Car will be taken by tow truck to dealer tomorrow instead...

Search on this forum did not bring up any ideas on what may be the problem.

Car back home. Paperwork says 'Removed multi fuses in engine, reset, vehicle now starting. No fault codes present'.

Yes, the guy did yesterday and the tow truck guy tried again this morning.
Took a while to turn the car 45 degrees with chocks under the front wheels and pulling before it could be winched onto the truck - steering was locked at straight ahead. The car had been in the garage.
Tow operator was skilful and very careful.

A faulty immobilizer?

Possibly the way to describe this. The keys and car got out of sync somehow. Was told this 'sometimes happens'. Hope it does not happen far from home and help!
