Speed Limit on Dash

Popped in to my local dealer, who I deliberately didn't buy the car from as they wouldn't budge on price, to ask about SLIF and they sent me to the service centre who said "it can't be enabled in the UK market".

Aberdeen Hyundai(Arnold Clark), all my experience with them has been awful. Won't be bringing the car here for its services.
Will try the next nearest dealer when I get a chance..

They are absolute Shit!! 6 weeks they took to get my 1st service. Bumped me 4 times then when I turned up last week they said I didn't have an appointment. They then booked me in for the 5th time on Friday, And called me Friday afternoon to say they hadn't got round to starting my "oil change" and will be Saturday. I asked for SLIF to be activated and got the same response as you! I said that's shite as its standard on the Tuscan. She just shrugged her shoulders. (Inverness said no problem just take it in, And online Hyundai said just take it to your local dealer) I then asked for a quote for a new grill on Saturday which she said I would get Monday, The didnt call back until yesterday quoting £150 more than Hyundai in Inverness (Their other branch). Honestly beyond useless. Even asked them to update the Satnav and she said no was as thats a 5 hour job!

They're a total nightmare! I think part of the issue is that it is Arnold Clark. Bought my car from Macklin Edinburgh West who were pretty decent but said they couldn't find the option and I just didn't have time to stick around.
I'll maybe try Inverness or Dundee..
The guy today mentioned someone had been in and asked about it recently and that he "looked it up on Google" and that "in Australia the road signs vary from state to state". It's also "allowed in mainland Europe" where signs vary massively.. ?

Wanted to see if they'd have a quick listen to a noise I'm a bit worried by.. he said he'd have to book me in and it would be over a month (21st Aug) before he could fit me in. It would have taken 5 mins for someone to hop in the car and listen as I went round the block.

Sorry, my bad. It's an x431v+ pro.
Just looked now and the nearest is the x431V at £699. Mine was the 10 inch one at £939.
Just found my one at that site and it's now £889.00

Not compared to snapon gear, they're what I call expensive. No catch-up fee if the updates lapse either.
Well snap on is errrr, snap on!
Lol we all know full well how much that stuff costs.
I’m just saying for the enthusiast/home mechanic guy that is a fair outlay

Fair enough but I was a professional mechanic for 20 odd years and to work on modern machines you must have something like this. I just don't trust main stealers at all, I've seen their work first hand.

No argument there! 3 nearest MB dealers to me are same franchise, tried 2 out of the 3 - utterly carp in terms of maintenance, what they charge and what they actually do!

But unfortunately, can't stretch to £7-800 at the moment! :(

Is it April 1st?

Just received this from my dealer:

Hyundai Intelligent Speed Limit Warning System

With cluttered and confusing road signs sometimes it can be difficult to be certain of the correct speed limits.

To help make things clearer we are delighted to offer the Hyundai Intelligent Speed Limit Warning System*. This in-vehicle system detects speed limit signs at the road side and provides live updates on your journey by displaying the speed limit on the vehicle sat nav and instrument cluster.

For just £138 we will activate your speed limit warning functionality, allowing your vehicle to detect live speed restrictions and ensure you are aware of the maximum permitted speed as you travel.
What a bunch of clowns!
