Need some 12V power next

I do wish they had put a 12V outlet in the boot, they don't so I guess I need to run my own from the little fuse box near my right knee, and get behind the r/hand panel for the feeds

This'll be the 5th install I've done for this sub so I'm well practiced "Do I need a sub you may ask?" I have the sub already and it won't hurt to have a bit more bass depth, being able to have the space-saver with the floor set low also means the sub will be less intrusive.

I find the sound system on my Kona comparable to the B&O in the Audi and I think the Kona has a bit more bottom end too.

PS, It's also a job for when its a bit warmer & dryer, but at least I now have "a plan"

I have never had a vehicle with a 12v outlet in the boot - I wish it WAS standard fitment in all makes.

That Pioneer looks like it was made to fit in that space, very neat - I assume it is strong enough to withstand luggage bouncing around on top?

Just had a thought - does your Pioneer have a phase control as if it is opposite to the OEM one you might get some cancellation instead of enhancement?

I am also waiting for some warmer weather as I have a nice set of wind / rain protectors to fit for the windows. I got the ones that fix with double sided and not the metal clips inside the channel version and I have just realised they use vinyl wrap around the frames so I just hope it is man enough to keep these in place!

p.s. That photo is labelled as "19 inch space saver? Not sure the oblong brick would run smooth?

Sub is quite substantial, I believe its made of MDF and it has a phase button on its remote control.

Cable run today, quite easy really. I also tapped into the existing sub whilst I had the side panel half removed. Having thinner & therefore more flexible plastic trims made this a lot easier than doing the same job on my previous German cars. I never had to pop off any trims in the cabin, only in the boot/trunk

I now need a fuse board connector, I only have ones that fit the two larger sized fuses, this car uses some very little ones as per the red one in the picture.

Are these tiny fuses specific to Hyundai??? .I have now located some, it seems they may be called "Micro II" but I found a site with dimensions so all good to order.

@Tankdave how did you get on with this? Looking to put a 12V socket in the rear of my i20N. Extremely annoying there is no socket there from factory.
