Miss Your CD Player?

As a cheaper alternative, but unconfirmed. I always thought of just using my old Walkman and plugging it into the aux port. Obviously you have the cost of batteries and loss of some functionality. But it’ll result in a significant cost savings

I can confirm that connecting a Sony portable dvd player from audio out to the aux input works well. No control from the cars screen of course.

Before spending 349$ it would be maybe worth if someone would try this for example:

I dont know, but our radio is android based, so it should be able to read nearly every usb device ;)

If I'll find my external CD drive, I'll give it a try :)
So...did the External CD/DVD Player work though the Auxiliary Port? If so, does it just Play when inserted or Aux turned on?
