Hi guys,

Got DTC on U015500-Lost communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPS). During this error the car got other errors on LDWS, MFC error, signal lights not functioning and OBD2 connector not functioning.

This DTC pops up during the day (engine bay was hot and not cooled down) where it seems the heat from the engine bay affected the IPS indirectly . Had to pop the hood or start the car with AC for a few minutes and the DTC will reset by itself. Happens the last 2 years

Any other existing 2018 models got this?

will check but if the fuses blown shouldn't the DTC/ error will persist? but this DTC resets by itself if the engine bay heat goes down. Seems need a hood vent?
TBH sounds like some wires expanding from heat and not making good contact anymore, I'd get the electricals checked by your dealer right after you beat on it. Take pictures, show em to the dealer and tell them you'll drive the car hot to them.

ok will do. will refer to our dealer to check the electrical side and let the car stays there for their perusal for further checks. Hope they they can find something

our agent unable to do checks bec of the DTC alarm resets after the dashboard cools down. So advice if the DTC unable to reset anymore then they can do a detail checks to pinpoint the issue.

The way is if DTC seen , start the car and run the AC for 5 mins the DTC will reset by itself. Still happens if the car under the hot sun for few hours (installed shades back then). Hood already installed spacer for the last 3 months (incase engine bay heat influence the dashboard but seems not)photo_6219709598273747988_y.jpg

Still no luck and issues still exists. Seems have to wait until unable to reset anymore then can pinpoint the culprit

Have you got access to a decent diagnostic machine? This should pinpoint the problem. Sounds like the BCU playing up.

What is a BCU?..as per diagnose as the 1st thread that is the alarm seen but normalised back when the dashboard got cooled down (around 5 mins using the AC)

Body control unit. Also known as a bcm, body control module.
Sorry not familiar with this stuff but alarm doesn't show much details when checked with the agent but will try to understand more on this BCM stuffs
