Ioniq 5 n rims

The tires were quite a bit quieter, Michelin primacy tour I believe. Definitely much better over bumpy roads. Stiffens up nice with the sport suspension and handles pretty decent for a narrower less grippy tire. Would recommend 20" if driving a lot!

Very interesting. TY for sharing!

How much more efficient are the 20's? Am thinking of doing the same thing...
They fit nicely, might need a spacer for caliper clearance. It has at most a 1/4" clearance off the face of caliper and a good 1/2" all around. Quite a bit more efficient on 255 tires.View attachment 24917

Hello,
Since u have Changed the rims and the tires, have u had any problems with the e-dif?? because with a diferent total diameter of the wheel it may happen.
I want to do the same thing because for 21" rims its dificult to find good trackday semi slicks, but i am worried it Will mess around with the e-dif.
Thanks, best regards to all.

I want 20" rims for more choice of semi slicks, even if i have to Change the tire size. For 21" rims i could ONLY find Michelin CUP 2.
The car is heavy and the load index is quite limiting.
But diference in total diameter may mess around with the e-dif i think, maybe not on normal day to day driving condition, but on racetracks the e-dif is put to work quite more.

Why? As long as you keep dimension ratio same as stock. If Ioniq N is equipped with same width and series of tires for front & rear, there shouldn't be issues if you keep that ratio.

That's exactly my point, when changing to a 20" rim it's Impossible to keep the same ratio, i've searched every tire manufacturer, not possíble, it's always going to have lower diameter, wich means less tire revolutions per km. If the e-dif has a defined parameter according to tire diameter it may be a problem, i think. That's why owners manual states that when changing tires, keep it with the same size.
