Hi all.
Just got my i30n performance 2019 in for a warrenty reason. Main dealer did a visual health check complimentary. They have stated that my front disks are below minimum thickness requirement (26.68mm) think minimum is 28mm.
What I don't understand is these disks were changed about 3 month's ago round 3k. Yet they are telling my I need new ones.
After visual inspection they don't even have a lip around the outer edge on them. Basically look brand new.
Are hyundai trying to mug me off. Do I need to be worried about less break performance or piston travel. ?
Only reason I ask is I have never owned a car where the minimum thickness is this high on a break disc. Never been highlighted from main dealers. I.e bmw.
Always had disks that are for example 70% worn but still deemed safe on other cars
Many thanks
