Then on October 1 unfortunately I had an accident and the car stay destroyed! The insurance company has already solved my problem, but it costs me to send a car like this to the scrap yard. I need opinions if it will be worth having it fixed, and also if someone wants to buy it is for sale. 20200504_113635_Easy-Resize.com.jpg

I don't think fixing it is a smart deal. The car has lost a great part of it's rigidity and is bend in more places than visible. Part it out. The complete motor and Transmission are worth a few 1000 euro's.

Wow. That is a severe rear crash.

I am not an automotive mechanic, but this looks like a totaled car to me.

And it was a pre-gpf version... :(:(.
It would be a pain to restore it to its former self (if possible). Even new there is a possibility of malfunctions, in this state its a no brainer.

O acidente foi em Portugal, tanto que saiu no jornal amigo. O carro era Espanhol

Yeah i think in the same way. Thx for your opinion 👍

I know a couple of guys who are body shop specialists and I can tell you that this i30N is FUBAR’d. As others have mentioned, the best thing you can do(if possible) is to part out the car. Its unfortunate to see this beauty in that state but the best thing to do at this point is to pass on the parts and sell it to those who are more than happy to buy them from you.

This was 8000€ repair (front bumper, grilles, plastic trims, wheelguard , wheel and tyre, crossmember, struts, fender, hood, mirror, headlamp and DRL, ... + body and paintwork).

Luckily it didn't touch the chassis as it was more a lateral collision. Also, the airbags and pretensioners didn't open (It depends on the speed in that moment, the collision force and the direction, etc)

Yours seems to have several bends on rear chassis base, that affects from door frames to the roof, and it will need many work.

As conclusion, nothing is impossible. Parts can be replaced as they only need hard work, but the work hours can suppose an higher costs than the venal value for the insurance company.
As they have said, with the parts sale you can win something more.

P.D.: Yo podría estar interesado en alguna pieza (guarnecido del capó, la franja roja delantera, alguna grapa, etc).

Biggest problem is the the frame and unibody damage. There's a lot of cutting and welding need. However, putting it on the frame alignment table will tell you the whole story.

This particular story, comes with a very bad ending. :)

Salud
