Alpine aftermarket headunits

Just found this installation kit from Alpine, wich makes it possible to fit 2 of their own headunits.
Off course you will loose all N custom menu's by doing this.

I'm not going to buy it, just wanted to share this information with the forum. It's for those who are looking for a better sound or entertainment experience.

IMO, it's a little horrid, more as it cost +200€.
Aftermarket headunits are great for 90's - 00's cars. The newest infotainment systems are highly integrated (visually and functionally) and complete.
This market is doomed to partnering with the manufacturers (as Bose, B&O, etc. do), develop upgrade parts (speakers, integrated amps or DSPs), or die.

Looking at the interior it seems to be a "poverty-spec" i30 - meaning not even proper infotainment, more like a black and white LCD display for radio, bluetooth and CD.
