Hey boys and gals finally got around to ordering a proper boost and AFR gauge. That way I can keep an eye on my JB4 and make sure it’s doing it’s job properly. However with the car being so new I don’t want to tap any wires and I’ve found these. Has anyone used these before ?

Would it be okay pulling power for both gauges from just one of these on a 10amp fuse or should I run two?

OBDII connection, with Gauge Pods direct fit Chris. No extra hoses to run and ned to tap the fuse block.

Problem with this gauge is it piggybacks off the OBD2 just like the jb4. I looked at these guys first and even bought their dual gauge pod you posted. But I want physical numbers and not what the computer is telling me. That’s why I’m going the physical route instead of trusting the jb4 apps gauges
 
You can utilize a OBD II splitter that can be purchased from them as well. I understand, you can utilize a fuse tap to, do what you want. Along with a boost sensor tap. Look at the specifications of the gauge itself, they should tell you the typical amp hour draw.

Chris I have used them with the Mando ESC 10 Suspension module. They work very well and are the best thing available fro taping the fuse block.
Do you have a link to the ones you purchased. Or am I safe just buying any one off amazon. They all seem like the same exact thing just different manufacturers slapping their names on them.
 
So does anybody know what’s the best point to pull a boost reading from ? I tried several different hoses off of the manifold and I’m seeming to only be getting vacuum.
 
Check with SXTH Element and see if their VACUUM DISTRIBUTION BLOCK will work on the VN. If it does, it's a simple process of installing it at the MAP sensor. I know it fits the Kia Optima 2.0T so it
might fit for the VN as well.

Thanks for the input. However I’m a little impatient and have my car in a million pieces right now. And can’t wait for this to ship. Any other time sensitive suggestions ? Lol

Let me look at the schematic Chris. You ought to be able to utilize a Tee Tap between the Manifold and BOV control valve.
Is that the line running from the top of BOV to the boost solenoid ? If so that was my last option. I tried the one going from the manifold to the solenoid. I also tried the one going from the bottom of the solenoid to the cold pipe and that didn’t work either.
 
Do you know where the BOV solenoid is located?
You need to tap the pipe going to the manifold. I hope this helps you locate it. The video is easier than me trying to explain it to you.

That’s the first one I tried. Maybe I didn’t rev it enough to make boost. I didn’t drive the car either because of my dash being in pieces
 
Chris, I really need to think about this for a little bit and study the options myself. I haven't put on a boost gauge and saw no need to at this point. Let me consult with a couple of people first before we go forward.
 
Yes I understand but just relax, breath and repeat it until you are calmer and less frustrated. Look if all else fails, you plug the Tee connectors, install the gauge where you want it. Get the electrical connected. Then just put everything back as it was, until we find a solution.

Might be a pain in the arse now but will help you in the short term.:)

Do you have transport to get you to the Auto Parts store or do you have the right size vacuum plugs available at home?

It would be really helpful, if I had my throttle body back from Maxbore. I could tell you where the vacuum line enters. Then you can tap that line directly. You have to be behind the TB to pull boost. it's the only way I know of at the moment to pull boost pressure.

The two guys I emailed are busy at the moment and will get back to me as soon as they can.

Did you try calling SXTH Element direct and ask them?
